World's Oldest Feminist Publisher to Hold Fundraiser in East Hampton
The Feminist Press at CUNY, the oldest feminist publisher in the world, will hold its annual East Hampton Fundraiser on Sunday, August 14. The event will be emceed by style maven and restaurateur B. Smith, coordinated by FP board chair Rebecca Seawright. It will take place at the home of Merle Hoffman, whose memoir will be published by FP in January 2012. Other guests will include Rahna Reiko Rizzuto, author of Hiroshima in the Morning, actress Mercedes Ruehl, Eleanor Roosevelt biographer Blanche Weisen-Cook, FP Executive Director Gloria Jacobs and Florence Howe, founder of the Feminist Press.
