Life Is Good: Stroll With Me Through The Dan's Papers Art Show
One of the biggest blessings of my life is the amount of art that I have been exposed to growing up out here on the East End and living out here full time. It’s slightly ridiculous in a way, it is just too good. Artists have been attracted to Long Island the day it was discovered, and as such, art plays a big role at Dan’s Papers, with each cover displaying a top artist hand picked by my Dad.
As such, our cover art show event is always an amazing thing to see, because all of the original artists that have been featured on the Dan’s Papers covers each year, are displayed in a gallery and party style setting where people can come and check out the work. This year, I was especially impressed with the work of Yvonne Dagger, Stan Goldberg, Pam Topham and of course a long time artist and friend, Mickey Paraskevas.
A few glasses of champagne into the art show, some music and a stroll through the party while enjoying these paintings is a can’t miss. I’m so glad that we do this event every year, and we sell a lot of paintings at it as well. So it really is a win/win for everybody.
