East Hampton To Hold 9/11 Memorial Tonight

The town of East Hampton and anybody else that wishes to show will be gathering at the Hook Mill Green in East Hampton Village (that’s where the main Windmill is in East Hampton) in order to hold a memorial service to remember the terrorist acts on 9/11. The event will begin at 6 p.m. tonight. East Hampton Town Supervisor Bill Wilkinson will be giving a speech as well ast Village Mayor Paul F. Rickebach.

Hook Windmill is a historic windmill on North Main Street. The windmill was built in 1806 and operated regularly until 1908. It is one of the most complete of the extant windmills on Long Island.
