Hamptons International Film Festival Winners
Winners at the 19th Annual Hamptons International Film Festival run the gamut from an enchanting take on Hollywood’s Golden Age to powerful, if at times painful, documentaries that hit home right here on the East End.
Director Marc Levin’s probing look into the housing crisis and economic hardship, Hard Times: Lost on Long Island, took home the Audience Award (Documentary), while director Michel Hazanavicius’ love letter to the silent-film-era, The Artist, won the Narrative portion of the Audience Award. The Golden Starfish Narrative Feature Award went to The Fairy, and Laura captured the Golden Starfish for Best Documentary.
