Election Results from the East End
The votes are in, and here are the Election Day winners for Suffolk County Executive and other offices across the Hamptons and the East End of Long Island.
Suffolk County Executive
Democrat Steve Bellone beat Republican Angie M. Carpenter with 56.6 percent of the vote.
Suffolk County Legislator (2nd District)
Democrat Jay H. Schneiderman beat Cornelius B. Kelly with 65.68 percent of the vote.
East Hampton Supervisor
Still no official winner announced
East Hampton Town Justice
Republican Lisa Rana beat Stephen A. Grossman with 62.95 percent of the vote.
Riverhead Supervisor
Republican Sean M. Walter beat Democrat Philip J. Cardinale with 63.94 percent of the vote.
Shelter Island Supervisor
Independent Glenn W. Waddington won with 43.64 percent of the vote.
Southampton Councilmember
Democrat Bridget M. Fleming and Republican Christine P. Scalera won with 26.98 percent and 24.73 percent of the vote respectively.
Southampton Supervisor
Democrat Anna E. Throne-Holst won.
Southampton Town Justice
Edward D. Burke Sr. won.
Southold Supervisor
Republican Scott A. Russell beat Democrat Robert. Meguin with 76.06 percent of the vote.
Suffolk County Court Judge
Republican John J. Toomey Jr. beat Democrat Richard Ambro with 54.03 percent of the vote.
