Vietnam Veterans Memorial Traveling to Calverton

A traveling, 3⁄4- scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., is coming to Long Island at Calverton National Cemetery. It will remain at the cemetery from Wednesday, June 20, through Sunday, June 24, and volunteers are truly needed during its visit on Long Island to support this undertaking.

This kind of stuff is important. If you have the ability to volunteer, go for it—you won’t regret it.

The DIGNITY MEMORIAL® VIETNAM WALL is 240 feet long, eight feet high and contains the names of more than 58,000 Americans who died or are missing in Vietnam.

An open general volunteer meeting is being held, with volunteer signup applications, Thursday evening, May 17, at 7:30 p.m. at:

LODGE # 2044
