Tonight begins Yom Kippur, one of the most important holidays in the Jewish religion. So be sure to tell all of your Jewish friends in the Hamptons that you wish them a happy holiday. Yom Kippur is one of the most important holidays in the Jewish religion.
Jews traditionally observe this holy day, a day of atonement and repentance, with a 25-hour period of fasting and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services. Yom Kippur completes the annual period known in Judaism as the High Holy Days or Yamim Nora’im (“Days of Awe“).
