The folks at Bay Street and Sesame Street may have found some excitement in the presidential debates the other night, but Hamptonite Alec Baldwin thinks we’re in need of a change to make the one-on-one showdowns more engaging. “I found the debates were really dull,” Baldwin said in a Vanity Fair report. “I’m a Jim Lehrer fan, but I thought he wasn’t really very, you know, on point there. I think you should just put the two men in a room and let them talk. We’d have a much more interesting debate if there was no moderator.” Or if we just put Baldwin and Richard Gere onstage, perhaps.
