The History Press Releases New Book

The History Press has just released Women in Long Island’s Past A History of Eminent Ladies & Everyday Lives by frequent East End visitor Natalie A. Naylor

Naylor brings larger-than-life, but little-known, heroines out of the lost pages of Long Island history. Subjects include: Anna Symmes Harrison, Julia Gardiner Tyler, Edith Kermit Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt all of whom served as first lady of the United States. Beloved children’s author Frances Hodgson Burnett is also featured; she wrote The Secret Garden while on Long Island. Naylor invites you to discover these and other stories of the remarkable women of Long Island.
