My Message To Alec Baldwin: I Get Why You're Mad, but Step Away From the Twitter, and Don't Go Back!
I never know if celebrities behave a certain way because it’s just who they are or if it’s because of the exposure that they get, but I highly doubt Alec Baldwin rants on Twitter for the exposure. The man has nothing left to prove anymore.
But he can’t seem to get away from biting his tongue. Today he went on a Twitter rant filled with curses directed specifically at a journalist who reported that his wife was using Twitter during actor James Gandolfini’s funeral on Thursday.
In defense of Alec Baldwin, I’d be really pissed off too if somebody wrote that about my wife. I mean honestly, how are you just supposed to be cool about that?
But in the world of celebrity, nothing is really fair. If you attack someone, you’re immediately viewed as violent, even when they go so low as to attack your wife publicly. The Daily Mail reported a story that his wife was tweeting during the funeral. Baldwin responded by tweeting the following:
“My wife and I attend a funeral to pay our respects to an old friend, and some toxic Brit writes this f****** trash,” he tweeted.
“My wife DID NOT use her phone, in any capacity, at our friend’s funeral.”
He then said he was going to “f****…you…up,” and called the writer of the story a “toxic little queen.”
Everything that he said on his Twitter account, in my opinion, is pretty justifiable. But because he’s a celebrity, the world will act like he’s being a baby about it, as if everybody in the world is supposed to be okay with somebody publicly going after your pregnant wife.
A big part of me is thinking to myself, GOOD FOR YOU, ALEC! But then another part of me is thinking to myself, Alec, you’ve got to just ignore the media.
Except for the stuff that I write, of course…
