It’s July 4th weekend in the Hamptons! There are parades, there are fireworks and there are great events to attend. Thursday, July 4th
The Southampton Village 4th of July Parade
10 a.m.
Always a thrill for the whole family. The parade takes place on Main Street beginning at 10 a.m. Set up yourself and family on the side of the road and show your American pride! Call 631-283-5847.
Montauk Umbrella Beach Fireworks
10 p.m.
Montauk’s annual fireworks display is one of the highlights of the entire season, drawing huge crowds of spectators who watch right from the beach. HINT: Try to arrive early to get a good spot on the beach and avoid traffic jams coming into town, which inevitably occur right before the fireworks start. 631-668-2428.
Westhampton Fireworks
10 p.m.
The Westhampton Country Club fireworks display is not open non-members on the club grounds, but is visible around Westhampton Beach Village. Begins at dusk. Call 631-288-1148.
The Nancy Atlas Acoustic Trio at Navy Beach
5 p.m.
Come out and watch Nancy Atlas and the Acoustic Trio perform live at Navy Beach in Montauk. The restaurant is located at 16 Navy Road. Nancy Atlas is a local music legend here in the Hamptons. Call 631-668-6868.
75 Main Presents Guest DJ’s Cedric Gervais and M1STERONE
11 p.m.
Hamptons hotspot 75 Main will celebrate Independence Day with world renowned DJ Cedric Gervais and U.S. club favorite M1STERONE on Thursday, July, 4, 2013. After the outdoor fireworks display, guests can create their own, enjoying a night of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dancing among celebrities, socialites and the Hamptons elite, as the restaurant transforms into one of the most exclusive lounges on the East End. 75 Main is located at 75 Main Street in Southampton. 631-283-7575.
Friday, July 5th
Grucci Fireworks in Southampton
Dusk
Always a thrill for the whole family. Grucci fireworks will take place at dusk that can be viewed from Cooper’s Beach, located in the Village. July 5. Rain date is July 7.
Southampton Fresh Air Home Picnic
7–10 p.m.
There is no summer tradition with more excitement than the Southampton Fresh Air Home’s Annual American Picnic with Fireworks by Grucci. Their 26th Annual Picnic Benefit is scheduled for Friday, July 5 (with a rain date of Sunday July 7) and it is the only Fourth of July fireworks family party in Southampton! Watch Jurassic Park on the Big Screen at Mulford Farm
8:30 p.m.
Enjoy the trials, tribulations, and terrors of the exploits of a more daring branch of preservationists! Sponsored by Guild Hall and the East Hampton Historical Society, this event will take place outdoors on the lawn of Mulford Farm Museum in East Hampton. Bring your blanket and a picnic (and possibly a flashlight to fend off those shadows)! 631-324-6850.
Saturday, July 6th
Liza Minnelli at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center
