Long Island Livestock Wins Boutique Contest at Hampton Classic
Celebrity judges Annette Lauer and Beth Ostrosky Stern chose the Long Island Livestock Company as their favorite boutique among the more than 80 present at the 38th annual Hampton Classic Horse Show on Tuesday.
“It was very organic and unique. It left everyone else in the dust,” said Lauer, wife of Today show host Matt Lauer.
“The Long Island Livestock booth was very inviting-you just wanted to go in there and stay. And it smells so yummy inside!” said Stern, a well liked television host and wife of radio personality Howard Stern.
The Long Island Livestock Company is located in Yaphank, N.Y. Owner Tabetha Haubold-Magee offers a variety of products made from llamas and other livestock-soaps, lotions, socks, scarves and other clothes made of natural livestock fibers. Haubold-Magee also offers livestock shearing and educational programs.
Lauer and Stern chose Handmade On Peconic Bay as the runner-up, while Hermes claimed third place.
The 38th annual Hampton Classic Horse Show runs through Sunday, September 1 and features world-class show jumping competition, as well as magnificent shopping and a variety of entertainment attractions.
