Renée Zellweger to Present Awards to Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner at HIFF
Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, the co-chairs of Working Title Films, will share the Golden Starfish Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 21st annual Hamptons International Film Festival in October.
HIFF is awarding the honor in conjunction with the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in New York, and it will be introduced by Renée Zellweger, who starred in Working Title’s Bridget Jones’ Diary.
Working Title is known for producing acclaimed films such as Les Miserables, Atonement, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Elizabeth and Billy Elliot.
Joining Zellweger and the producers in a conversation on Working Title will be directors Richard Curtis (About Time, Love Actually), Edgar Wright (The World’s End, Shaun of the Dead) and Joe Wright (Anna Karenina, Atonement).
“The Hamptons International Film Festival is pleased to recognize Working Title Films and its incredible body of work,” HIFF Executive Director Anne Chaisson said. “Honoring outstanding international cinema is the central point of the festival’s mission and Working Title has been a game changer on the international stage. It is a great privilege to partner with BAFTA New York to acknowledge Working Title and its standout achievements.”
Bevan and Fellnar said, “This festival has always championed films and filmmakers that we admire, so to be included in such an illustrious group is indeed an honor.”
The award ceremony will be part of HIFF’s Focus on UK Film series, which will include screenings of Working Title’s About Time and BBC America’s Burton and Taylor.
