Cops: Pair Busted With Crack at Big Duck
New York State troopers said they made a crack arrest in Flanders while patrolling the area of the Big Duck Friday.
Around 11:05 p.m., troopers on Flanders Road/State Road 24 reported seeing a man and woman “acting suspiciously” at the Big Duck. When the pair was interviewed, they were found to have crack cocaine on them, as well as “articles that contained cocaine residue,” police said.
Rosemary Brown, 48, and Michael Lerhinan, 57, both of Riverhead, were placed under arrest. Police said Lerhinan was in possession of a felony weight of crack cocaine.
Lerhinan and Brown were each charged with third- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
After arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court, they were remanded to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in Riverside.
