Kids’ Events on the East End This Weekend: Rhyme Time, Shark Dive, Spiders

From Amagansett to Riverhead, and in Manorville too, there are many events and activities lined up for kids and whole families to enjoy this weekend.

Some are walk-in events, while others require pre-registration. And get an early start on the weekend with Thursday events too.

SHARK DIVE 
11 a.m. Daily, ages 12 and up (12–17 must be accompanied by a parent). Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center, 431 East Main Street, Riverhead. The aquarium puts you into a cage in the middle of more than 10 circling sharks! FAMILY SLEEPOVERS: HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR
6 p.m.–7 a.m. Fun Halloween-themed sleepover includes aquarium admission, dinner, continental breakfast, a movie, craft, animal interaction and waking up next to an actual exhibit. SPIDERS OF THE SOUTH FORK
10 a.m. South Fork Natural History Museum nature educator Tyler Armstrong shows off live examples of local species of spiders.This program is for children 6 to 10 and enrollment is limited.  There is no charge for SoFo members.
