SOFO—LODO’S WILD TURKEY STORYTIME FOR CHILDREN AGES 3–5
10 a.m. Join Crystal and her story-time puppet, Lodo the River Otter, as they read Gobble Gobble by Cathryn Falwell to learn more about the bird that almost became our national symbol. After the story, everyone will look for signs of wild turkey in the field behind the museum, and then you’ll have an opportunity to create your own decorative turkey to take home. 6 p.m. In their own version of Rockefeller Center, The Youth Group at the Basilica Parish of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary will light the two great trees on the church’s front lawn. There will be carol singing, the lighting of the magnificent trees followed by a social in the Parish Hall with hot chocolate and refreshments.
