Police Seek Riverhead Gas Station Robbers

Police have released security video stills of a September armed robbery at a Riverhead gas station in hopes that the public can help identify the perpetrators.

According to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead police, the robbers were two black men who entered the Hess at 870 Old Country Road on September 13 at 10:30 p.m. and held up the clerk at gunpoint. “The men fled with $200 in cash and $100 in Newport cigarettes,” police said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information may anonymously call 1-800-220-TIPS.
