Sag Harbor Police Seek Armed Robbers Who Stuck Up Corner Closet
A Sag Harbor consignment shop was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday and the clerk tied up, and now police are asking for the public’s help to identify and track down the perpetrators.
Police said a man and woman entered Corner Closet, at 108 Main Street, at 5:50 p.m. and showed a handgun After tying up the store employee, the pair took designer handbags, scarves and other accessories.
According to Sag Harbor Village police and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers, the robbers fled in a late 1990s or early 2000s four-door domestic sedan.
The male robber was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 3 inches tall with brown hair and in his late 20s or early 30s. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans at the time. The woman was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with brown hair, also in her late 20s or early 30s. She was dressed in a fuchsia sweater vest over a black hoodie, police said.
Police have released a sketch of a man thought to be the male robber.
