The upcoming weekend calendar is full of fun events for kids, from outdoor adventure to holiday festivities.

Friday, December 13

SHAKE, RATTLE & ROLL

SHARK DIVE 
11 a.m. Daily, ages 12 and up (12–17 must be accompanied by a parent). Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center, 431 East Main Street, Riverhead. The aquarium puts you into a cage in the middle of more than 10 circling sharks! LEGO MANIA

SOFO WINTER FOREST WALK & SCAVENGER HUNT FOR FAMILIES
10 a.m. The best cure for “cabin fever” is to get outside and move, even animals that sleep most of the winter need to stretch. Join Crystal for an invigorating walk and nature scavenger hunt, as you look for the plants animals eat during the winter as well as signs the animals leave behind when people aren’t around. Keep your fingers crossed for snow to show us even more animal signs. Dress for the weather and prepare for a one-to-two-hour nature walk. For meeting place call 631-537-9735.

GINGERBREAD HOUSE DECORATING
