Snow, Freezing Temps in Store for the Hamptons This Week
It’s about to get cold in the Hamptons. Real cold.
The temperature is expected to dip to 19 degrees on New Year’s Eve night, and reach of high of only 35 on New Year’s Day. There is a chance of snow throughout the day on New Year’s Eve, and an even greater chance of snow on New Year’s Day in the evening, when the low temperature is forecast to be 23 degrees.
Thursday morning has an 80 percent chance of snow, then a 90 percent chance that night, with a high of 34 degrees and a low of 18 degrees.
Snow is expected Friday mainly before noon. The whole day, the temperature is expected to remain well below freezing, with a forecast high of 23 degrees and a low of 9 degrees. Then clear or mostly skies but blustering conditions are expected Friday night into Saturday morning. By Sunday night, snow and rain could return.
