East Hampton Woman Found Dead Outside Home After Snowstorm
Cathy Dransfield, a local real estate broker, was found dead Thursday outside of her Hands Creek Road home, her body covered in snow, according to East Hampton Town police.
Police said that a home health aide called at 10:49 a.m. to report she could not locate Dransfield, who lived at 669 Hands Creek Road with her elderly mother. Officers discovered Dransfield, 67, outside the home near the garage.
The death does not appear suspicious, police said.
About a foot of snow fell across the East End between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning.
Also in East Hampton Town, in the hamlet of Springs, an elderly man was found dead outside his home Wednesday morning. Police said a snowplow operator discovered his body.
