The arctic isn’t done with Long Island yet this winter—low temperatures are forecast for the teens next week.
A slight chance of showers is forecast on Martin Luther King Day on the East End with a daytime high near 40 before thermometers dip to 22 degrees overnight. That may be the only precipitation all week. Then on Tuesday, a high of 23 and low of 13 are expected.
Wednesday through Thursday will be much like Tuesday. Friday morning the temperature is expected to tick up to just 29 degrees.
