Winter Storm Watch Issued for East End
The East End will be slammed with snow once again this week, according to the National Weather Service.
A winter storm watch is in effect from noon on Tuesday through Wednesday at 6 a.m.
Snow is expected Tuesday morning, but mainly after noon, with an initial accumulation of 2 to 4 inches. Then Tuesday night, another 3 to 7 inches could fall. The temperature Tuesday is expected to be no higher than 24 degrees, falling to 14 at night with a wind chill of 0.
Snow showers may occur before noon Wednesday, though the day will be mostly sunny with a high near 20 degrees. The low for Wednesday night is forecast to be 11.
The temperature may tick up just a few degrees in the following days, plus there is a slight chance of snow showers Thursday night.
