Taste of Tuckahoe Serves Up Local Culinary Delights in Southampton
The fourth annual Taste of Tuckahoe dining event kicks off at 7 p.m. tonight! This highly anticipated foodie event, sponsored by the Tuckahoe Common School PTO in Southampton, brings together East End restaurants, bakeries, breweries and vineyards for one night of fantastic food, drink and fun.
Taste of Tuckahoe has become one of the premiere events of the spring season, with more than 400 local and visiting attendees eager to experience a signature dish or drink from participating establishments. Complete with a Chinese and silent auctions, and music by DJ Chris Cenzoprano, Taste of Tuckahoe offers a unique opportunity for the community to come together under one roof and celebrate our region’s culinary bounty for an affordable price — all in one exciting evening.
This year’s Taste of Tuckahoe event runs from 7–10 p.m. tonight, Friday, April 25 at local hotspot 230 Elm (230 Elm Street) in Southampton. Karine Bakhoum of The Food Network’s Iron Chef America returns as celebrity host of the evening’s festivities. A special VIP Hour from 6–7 p.m. will feature a meet and greet with Bakhoum and a cooking demonstration by Christin Mir of Stone Creek Inn, as well as passed hors d’oeurvres, a wine pairing from Palmer Vineyards and early access to food, drinks and the evening’s auctions (VIP tickets are $50, including general admission, but numbers are limited).
Participating restaurants include Boa Thai – Asian Fusion, Paul’s Italian Restaurant, Edgewater Restaurant, Southampton Social Club, Backbar Grille, Vines & Branches, Tully’s Seafood Market, Village Gourmet Cheese Shoppe, Townline BBQ, Delmonico’s of Southampton, 230 Elm, 1 North Steakhouse, Rumba, Cowfish, Lobster Grille, DeJesus Deli & Grocery, The Golden Pear, South Fork Deli and Pellegrino’s Pizza Bar & Restaurant.
The event will also feature libations from Riverhead’s Palmer Vineyards, Montauk Brewing Company and the Southampton Publick House, and sweet treats from Southampton chocolatier Old School Favorites, Cupcake Girlz of Farmingville, Krieg’s Bakery in Hampton Bays.
Proceeds from the night will benefit the Tuckahoe Common School PTO by enhancing educational programs, technology, the arts, literacy and more.
