50 Things to Do Before Memorial Day: Adopt a Dog
Fewer than four weeks remain until Memorial Day weekend, and while we at Dan’s Papers can’t wait, we also know there are many things we have to squeeze in during the next few weeks on the East End, lest we lose our chance with all that summer brings. We know that if we don’t get out and do these now, we’ll have to wait until after Labor Day before we try again…and so will you!
We continue our countdown of things to do before Memorial Day weekend on the East End with #23: Adopt a Dog
The summer is a great time for human and canine alike to spend as much of the day as they can outdoors.
Head to local animal adoption centers now to search for your new best friend and get your pick of the litter. Then spend this summer walking and running together, playing fetch, teaching tricks, and bonding.
With the warm weather and many hours of sunlight, there is no better time to bond with a dog than summer. So don’t wait until summer has already started to go to Southampton Animal Shelter in Hampton Bays or Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons in Wainscott to adopt.
Rescue a dog, and he’ll return the favor.
Come back tomorrow for 50 Things to Do Before Memorial Day in the Hamptons #22.
