Katie Couric Talks 'Fed Up' with Jon Stewart
East Hampton’s Katie Couric was a guest on The Daily Show Thursday to talk about her new documentary hitting theaters, Fed Up, about the obesity epidemic and the food industry—specifically, the sugar lobby.
“I’d covered this story for 35 years—my entire career—and I couldn’t understand why the problem kept getting worse,” Couric told North Haven’s Stewart. “And nobody was really rolling up their sleeves and digging into the root causes of the epidemic.”
Among the people interviewed for the film is Hamptons visitor and former President Bill Clinton, who is renting in Amagansett this summer.

Couric is reportedly in talks to rejoin Water Mill’s Matt Lauer on The Today Show as a temporary replacement for Savannah Guthrie while she is on maternity leave.
