Barbara Walters Comes Out of Retirement
Southampton’s Barbara Walters will be back on television just a month after she retired from TV hosting.
Walters couldn’t say no when ABC asked her to conduct a high-profile interview.
The 84-year-old former news anchor and renowned interviewer will sit with Peter Rodger, the father of the Elliot Rodger, who killed six people and injured 13 others in May in California near the UC-Berkley Campus.
Peter Rodger was an assistant director for the film The Hunger Games and this will be his first time speaking publically about his son’s killing spree.
The interview will air in coming weeks on 20/20.
Walter is slated to be presented with a lifetime achievement award from Quinnipiac University Tuesday. She was recently presented with a lifetime achievement award from Guild Hall of East Hampton.
