A landscaper was seriously injured Monday when the ride-on lawnmower he was driving overturned, pinning him underneath, East Hampton Town police said.
According to police, 36-year-old Baldomero Villa Vicenzio, of Riverhead, was mowing at a Montauk residence on South Ferncroft Place at 11:30 a.m. when the mower overturned on an embankment. Passing motorists freed Villa Vicenzio though he was unresponsive when police and ambulance personnel arrived, authorities said. He was revived at the scene then airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital.
The victim is listed in critical, but stable, condition, police said. Witnesses to the accident are asked to call police at 631-537-7575
