Revenge Scoop: James Tupper Upped to Series Regular
Revenge isn’t returning for another season of Hamptons mayhem until Season 4 begins in September, but there’s some exciting (if not entirely surprising) news to tide us over. James Tupper, who’s played the sad, presumed-dead David Clarke on a recurring basis (in flashbacks) since the show’s premiere, has been promoted to a series regular and will be part of the main cast for Season 4.
This should come as welcome news to fans, who were treated to his shocking return from the dead in May’s season finale.
Tupper is the second recurring performer to be promoted to series regular status in Season 4. Karine Vanasse, who plays Margaux LeMarchal, will also join the main cast next season. Vanasse appeared in most of Season 3’s episodes, so the change won’t be noticeable, but Tupper had only been seen in flashbacks prior to the Season 3 finale, when he stabbed his nemesis Conrad Grayson and left him for dead.
Fans eager to learn whether or not Henry Czerny returns as the villainous Conrad will likely have to wait until Season 4 premieres, as his fate was one of the finale’s main cliffhangers.
