All for the Bays Concert Is Thursday with Rick Derringer, Dub Steady, LA Woman
The All for the Bays benefit concert, taking place at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays, is this Thursday, July 31, featuring musical acts Rick Derringer, Dub Steady and LA Woman.
Put on by the Hamptons Visitors Council and sponsored by Dan’s Papers, All for the Bays aims to save Southampton’s bays with rock ‘n’ roll. The concert, which is hosted by WPPB radio personality Bonnie Grice, raises money for the Shinnecock Bay Stewardship Fund.
“Our waters are what make our area so magical,” says Donna Lanzetta of the East Quogue Chamber of Commerce. “The Southampton Trustees have shown serious commitment to replenishing and regenerating our bays. This concert is awareness raising as well as fundraising. 100% of the proceeds is going to our waterways.”
“If we take care of our waters we preserve our livelihoods,” says Micah Schlendorf, the president of the Hamptons Visitors Council. “The bays are important to our economy but, beyond that, they are the ecosystems for our future generations.”
Admission to the concert is $20. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to Boardy Barn, also in Hampton Bays.
VIP tickets, for $200 each, include a meet-and-greet with the musical guests at Dockers on Dune Road in East Quogue from 4 to 6 p.m., including music, food and open bar.
