John McCain, Jaime Foxx, Chris Christie Dance at Hamptons Apollo Theater Benefit
U.S. Senator John McCain, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and actor/singer Jaime Foxx were just a few of the bold-faced names at the Apollo in the Hamptons benefit held Saturday at the Wainscott home of Apollo Theater board member Ronald O. Perelman in Wainscott, known as The Creeks.
Performers included Sting, East Hampton’s Jon Bon Jovi, Francesco Yates Pharrell, the Roots and Gladys Knight.
Also in attendence were Barbra Streisand, James Brolin, Robert De Niro, Southampton’s Howard Stern, East Hampton’s Rogers Waters, Amagansett’s Paul McCartney, Anjelica Huston, Dorothea Bon Jovi, Spike Lee, David Tepper, Lorne Michaels, Stephanie Bon Jovi, Harvey Weinstein, Jack Nicholson and Ray Nicholson.
Apollo in the Hamptons was held at the home of Apollo Theater board member Ronald O. Perelman on Saturday, August 24, 2013.
Special guest artists included multi-Grammy award winning artist Lenny Kravitz, musical innovator Pharrell Williams, the popular neo-soul band The Roots, and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Darlene Love along with other surprise guests.
The Apollo Theater is a not-for-profit organization and proceeds from this event benefited the organization’s education, community and artistic programs.
