Hamptons hosts may forgo the kitchen this weekend in favor of an on-demand barbecue from Uber and Kitchensurfing. For one day only, on Saturday, August 9, Residents may order a four-course BBQ from a Kitchensurfing chef through their Uber app.
Billed as UberChef, an on-demand lunch or dinner party will cost $35 per head, with accommodations for six to 16 guests. Costs include the entire event, covering travel, ingredients and food preparation.
The typical Hamptons Kitchensurfing chef would cost at least $50 per person, with many menus running over $100 per head.
The four-course meal follows a summer grilling theme. Meals are promised to be prepared, served and cleaned-up within about 45 minutes.
Chef orders may be between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. for lunch or from 5-7:30 p.m. for dinner. Residents between Southampton and Bridgehampton or between East Hampton and Montauk are eligible for the offer.
Kitchensurfing will be servicing the Hamptons for the rest of the summer. These on-demand chefs are also available in other parts of Long Island, as well as in New York City, Westchester, Hoboken, Jersey City and Greenwich.
