Shop 'til You Drop: Think Pink on the East End Through October
October has arrived—a month when we begin to see candy corn, pumpkins and, in honor of breast cancer awareness month, the color pink.
This weekend marks the annual San Gennaro Feast of the Hamptons in Hampton Bays—where I’ll be doing my pastry shopping. On Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and 5th, from 10 a.m.–10 p.m., Good Ground Road will host Italian delicacies and artisans, as well as the parade, carnival rides and live music. Proceeds from the San Gennaro Feast of the Hamptons will be donated to Maureen’s Haven and The Coalition for Women’s Cancers at Southampton Hospital. For the full entertainment lineup visit sangennarofeastofthehamptons.com.
Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue and Sanctuary’s annual Hay Drive has begun. Hay is the rescue farm’s greatest need and expense and donations help significantly. For more information, and to get involved, visit amaryllisfarm.blogspot.com.

Collin Body Treating Oil is available at La Carezza Salon & Day Spa, 43-45 Windmill Lane in Southampton; at Kevin Maple Salon at 46 Jobs Lane, also in Southampton; and at The Inn at East Wind, 5720 Route 25A in Wading River.
