Sagaponack, Water Mill and Bridgehampton were listed among the top 8 most expensive small towns in the United States, according to Zillow.com. The most expensive zip code in the United States is Wainscott, with a median home price of $2.6 million. Hamptons residents include many of New York City’s most affluent residents, and increasingly, affluent foreigners from Europe and South America. Main Beach in East Hampton was ranked the third Best Beach in American by Dr. Beach. As of April 2012 the median single-family home price in the Hamptons was $815,000.
