She plans to open a fitness location within the next two months, where she will start her “Getting the Boot” fitness boot camp for kids. * * * Sir Paul McCartney and Alec Baldwin have become yoga buddies. McCartney, who is in the middle of a messy divorce from wife Heather Mills, and Baldwin, who has long been battling with ex-wife Kim Basinger for custody of their daughter, met at a Hatha yoga class in East Hampton recently and plan to continue the therapy. * * * Sean “Diddy” Combs of East Hampton has begun his worldwide tour to plug his new album, “Press Play,” which is due Oct. 17 from his own Bad Boy label. On this tour, Diddy will be honored by mayors, other local officials, and proclamations of “Diddy Day” to celebrate his visit. High schools in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Norfolk, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Las Vegas are also in the rapper’s path as part of a series of events called “Diddy High,” where he’ll speak with students on such themes as “No Excuses,” “How To Make It Happen,” “Press Play On Your Life,” and “Empowerment.” * * * Bay Street Theatre’s “Comedy Club” series has been a popular success this past summer and continues next weekend with Judy Gold, an Emmy Award-winning writer/producer for “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and current host of an HBO show. Judy performs on Saturday, September 30, followed by HBO’s “Arli$$” Robert Wuhl (known for his comedic storytelling) on October 7 and Kathy Madison on October 8. Multi-Grammy award-winner and breast cancer survivor Sheryl Crow will be the special guest performer of the evening. Other potential attendees are Jamie Fox, Pharrell Williams and The Bacon Brothers. * * * Southampton Village Board of Architectural Review and Historic Preservation Chairman Roger Blaugh announced last week that he will resign from his post due to health issues. A replacement for his position has not yet been announced. * * * TV and radio sports personality and full-time Westhampton resident Ann Liguori will be honored at the Family Counseling Service’s annual Golf Tournament, “Building Communities, on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at Hampton Hills Golf and Country Club in Westhampton. * * * The Songs of Love Foundation has enlisted more than 500 professional songwriters to write and record customized songs for 8,000 ill children across the nation. Celebrities, including Hamptonite Billy Joel, Ronnie Spector, David Lee Roth and the Broadway cast of Titanic are among those who have volunteered their talents. * * * William Sickels, senior superintentendent of parks for Suffolk County, was recently given a lifetime achievement award from the National Association of County Parks and Recreation for his 38 years of service. He was given the award at the association’s annual convention in Chicago. When asked about his proudest moment, Mr. Sickels cited his work protecting piping plovers. * * * Dennis Kozloski, the man in prison for stealing from the Tyco corporation, is ready to tell his story. His account of what happened is being written by Shelter Island’s Captain Bill Smith, who wrote Billy Joel’s biography. * * * Hamptonite Jerry Della Femina is at odds with Village Administrator Larry Cantwell and DA Thomas Spota. He was hit with a summons last week for overcrowding his East Hampton restaurant this summer on nine occasions, which could cost him $4500. * * * The first-annual Flying Point 10K for Autism Awareness will start in Water Mill on Sunday, September 24 at 9:30 a.m. Kim Covell, a mother of an autistic child, is the founder of what is to be an annual fall tradition on the East End.
