GOLF BENEFIT- From 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. attend the Cherry Creek Golf Experience that benefits the education program at Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch. Meet at Cherry Creek in Riverhead. at 10 a.m. for registration. ANNOUNCEMENTS

Southold Free Library invites artists of any age to submit two-dimensional artwork (photography, watercolor, oil, acrylic) featuring landscapes or seascapes characteristic of the North Fork. Library director Caroline MacArthur and curator Ken Rubino will select work from the submissions to be used on library cards, stationery, business cards and other printed library material. Deadline for submission is Friday, Oct. 6. Only 35-mm slides will be accepted. Mail slides to Ms. MacArthur at P.O. Box 697, Southold, NY 11971. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope for return of your slides. In addition to receiving recognition in the library’s newsletter and website, the chosen artist will be paid $100 and have a monthlong solo exhibition featuring the winning work. Call 765-2077.

OCTOBER 5 BUS TOUR- Running all day from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. join a bus tour to visit an exhibition, Best Friends: Isamu Noguchi and Buckminster Fuller at Noguchi Museum and a Garden, a Socrates Sculpture Park and Sculpture Center and a stop in Long Island City to conclude the series.
