UnLooking for an Oktoberfest? Then head to The Southampton Publick House which is hosting their annual celebration on Friday, September 29th with traditional German specials available all night. The party will kick off with the ceremonial tapping of the first Oktoberfest Lager keg. Guests will enjoy a selection of German style beers like their Munich Style Southampton Golden Lager, Oktoberfest Lager, and Bavarian Wheat Beer at Happy Hour prices all night. In the dining room, a Harvest Dinner Prix Fixe will be available for $24.95. The Harvest Dinner Special is paired with a 12 oz. glass of Southampton Oktoberfest Lager, the Publick House version of a classic Munich style lager. A benefit for the restoration of The Moran Studio House and Garden will be held on Saturday, September 30th, starting at 5 p.m. with tours and cocktails at The Moran Studio House and Garden. Desmond’s Restaurant and Lounge located within The Inn and Spa at East Wind offers a special Halloween menu along with a ticket to Darkside Haunted House for $21.95 per person. This special will run from October 1st through the 31st starting after 5 p.m. each Sunday through Thursday. Tickets to the nearby Darkside Haunted House are normally $16 each. Some of the menu items include a “Ghost” beef sandwich which is sliced roast beef on garlic bread with melted mozzarella cheese, a roasted vegetable “mummy” wrap with seasonal vegetables and chick pea spread rolled in a soft flour tortilla, the “boo burger” which is fresh ground sirloin with or without cheese, and “goblin” fingers which are crispy breaded chicken fingers with French fries. The diner chooses from a selection of loose exotic teas, which are then prepared in a unique glass teapot. The tea is immersed in water, which is then heated by a tea light. If lobster is calling, then head to Savanna’s in Southampton; they offer $19 lobsters on Wednesday nights.
