Here’s a Halloween round-up for all the ghosts and goblins out there!

Turtle Crossing, East Hampton, will host a Halloween Costume Party on Friday, October 27th, featuring live music by Mama Lee & Friends beginning at 5:30 p.m. There will be free house margaritas and appetizers for anyone in costume. There will also be a best costume award with $100 for the winner. The judging will begin at 8:30 p.m. Turtle Crossing will close for the season on Sunday and re-open in May of 2007. Celebrate Halloween Rowdy Hall style with their “Rowdyween” party on Tuesday, October 31st, which is the 7th annual by the way. $25 at the door will get revelers a complimentary drink, passed hor d’oeuvres, drink specials, $4 drafts and well drinks, and live music. Cash prizes are awarded for the best costumes. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $20. For more info call (631) 324-8555.

For a “Spooktacular” Halloween event check out the costume bash at The Inn at East Wind, in Wading River. This event will take place on Saturday, October 28th, from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. For $55 per person enjoy an open bar and a holiday-inspired dinner. Some of the menu items are eggplant skellatini, spooky herb crusted salmon, chicken in a casket, graveyard goulash, Uncle Fester’s pork steamship, ghostly roast sirloin, tombstone salad, and black cat’s Bayou pasta. The Southampton Publick House celebrates Halloween with their annual costume party on Tuesday, October 31st beginning at 9 p.m. It is just $10 dollars at the door, and for further information call (631) 283-6500.

For those in Montauk looking for a haunt, check out The Lakeside’s Halloween Party on Saturday, October 28th, starting at 10 p.m. There will be drink specials, a DJ spinning tunes and prizes awarded for those in the best of the following costumes: sexiest, scariest and funniest. There is no charge for the party so head down there and don’t forget a costume. For more information call (631) 668-3455.

La Fondita is celebrating the Day of the Dead on October 31st, November 1st and November 2nd with a special menu. The menu is polo en mole rojo (chicken in mole rojo), tamale de puerco (pork tamale), atole de pina (a traditional warm beverage made with corn meal and pineapple), and arroz con Leche (rice pudding). On Sunday, October 29th, Fresno, in East Hampton, will be serving up a Spanish Wine Dinner with Domaine Wines. The five-course dinner menu prepared by Chef Gretchen Menser will start off with Spanish theme tapas. The cost is $70 per person, plus tax and tip. Go back to school with Chef Americo Mintegui, of the Seafood Barge, on Thursday, November 16th at 6:30 p.m. at the Charles B. Wang Center at Stony Brook University. Chef Mintegui will be hosting a wine and food pairing and tasting and demonstrating how to create dishes using local ingredient and local wines from Lieb Cellars. Reservations are required as space is limited and the cost is $55 for the one person and $100 for two. Call (631) 632-9404 for more details.

In Riverhead, Stonewalls Restaurant offers a three-course prix fixe menu for $29.50 per person Sunday through Thursday. From 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Closed Tuesdays. Some of the menu items are oven-roasted beets with goat cheese, celery rémoulade, and apple salad with virgin olive oil and jerez vinegar; certified organic breast of chicken basquaise, red and yellow pepper, onion, tomato, prosciutto, and chorizo on risotto; medallions of pork with shaved garlic and sage, natural jus glazed apples and mashed potatoes; and for dessert cold raspberry soufflé with raspberry coulis; chocolate tart with crème chantilly.
