Don’t know what to do for Turkey Day? Eat in or take-out from one of the restaurants below…
In Westhampton Beach, don’t miss the Thanksgiving buffet dinner that Tierra Mar will be serving on Thanksgiving from 1 to 6 p.m. The cost of the buffet is $38 plus tax and gratuity, and children under 10 are half price. The buffet includes menu items such as local organic mesclun greens with toasted pumpkinseed vinaigrette, oven-roasted all natural turkey with giblet gravy, honey-glazed smoked ham with honey Dijon mustard sauce and way too many sides to list! The Southampton Inn is hosting a family-style Thanksgiving Day dinner. This is perfect for families of one, or families of 10, from noon until 3 p.m. The cost is $30 per person plus tax and tip, and includes a lavish turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Call (631) 283-6500 for reservations.
The Southampton Publick House is offering a special Thanksgiving Day prix fixe menu from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The cost of the prix fixe is $24.95 per person and $14.95 for kids under age ten, plus tax and gratuity, and reservations are recommended. Dinner will also be served Wednesday, November 22 until 10 p.m. with a DJ spinning music all night. Lunch and dinner will be available on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday brunch will be served from noon until 3 p.m. with dinner beginning at 4 p.m. For details call (631) 283-2800. Also in Southampton, the Plaza Café is taking orders now for the fixings for a complete meal to go for Thanksgiving. Orders must be placed by Monday, November 20 and picked up by Thursday, November 23. Menu items include: pumpkin lobster bisque; organic field greens with pears, walnuts, goat cheese and honey herb vinaigrette; roasted free-range turkey; sage chestnut stuffing; roasted garlic mashed potatoes; chocolate-chestnut torte; and apple-pecan cake with caramel sauce. For Thanksgiving, Art of Eating offers a take-home menu of 40 items to compose a five-course meal or just dessert. Turkey is free range and reared in small flocks in Watermill, it is never frozen. Pies are made with an all butter crust, fresh local fruits and available sugar-free – with nothing chemical or artificial. All foods are prepared in small batches – not mass-produced. In Bridgehampton, Alison is serving a Thanksgiving menu to stay or take away prepared by Executive Chef Robert Gurvich. Reservations are being taken for between 4 to 8:30 p.m. for $56 per person, with children under 12-years-old for $26 and a wine supplement of $25. For a take-out dinner, orders must be made by Saturday, November 18. Sample menu items include: celery root-apple soup; roasted turkey with sweet potato purée, fall fruit-sage and chestnut stuffing, haricots verts, creamed onions, brussels sprouts and cranberry dressing; raspberry saboyan with chocolate truffles; and apple crisp with buttermilk ice cream. Michael’s at Maidstone Beach, in East Hampton, is serving Thanksgiving dinner from 2 to 8 p.m. The cost is $35 per person and $22 per child. Menu items include: butternut squash bisque with autumn spice; field green salad with goat cheese and candied pecans and aged sherry vinegar dressing; traditional roast turkey with giblet gravy, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes and orange cranberry; roast prime rib au jus with garlic mashed; sweet potatoes; roast autumn vegetables; and seasonal desserts. In Wading River, East Wind Caterers prepare traditional Thanksgiving dinner to take home. Pick up a feast that serves six to ten guests for $125 on Wednesday, November 22 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday, November 23 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more info call (631) 929-3500 or checkout their website:www.theinnateastwind.com.
On the North Fork, Jedediah’s is offering a Thanksgiving Day dinner for $40 per person. Four different seatings will be available at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. Menu items include: parsnip and apple soup garnished with macoun apple salad and cider cream; arugula salad with Berkshire Farms prosciutto, Riverbend sheeps milk cheese, candied butternut squash and toasted pumpkin seed vinaigrette; roasted free-range turkey, grilled lamb loin; roasted striped bass; oyster and chestnut stuffing; mashed potatoes; creamed onions; candied sweet potatoes; and pumpkin cheesecake with autumn spice cream and mulled cider custard.
