FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9

LYCEUM GALLERY- The Lyceum Gallery running until February 23, located on the Eastern Campus of Suffolk Community College in Riverhead is presenting an art exhibit by faculty of all disciplines teaching at the school. There will be oil paintings, photographs, quilts, clay, jewelry and other works of art. Artist reception is February 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. For directions call 631-548-2559.

NIGHT OF HEROS- The Atlantis Marine World in Riverhead presents “Night of Heroes,” an evening that celebrates the men and women who have recently served our country overseas. The event, which begins at 6:30pm, will host more than 200 Long Island members of the Armed Forces, their families, and those who support them. NORTH FORK AUDUBON SOCIETY - 11:00 a.m. Check out the ‘Nature Detectives: Who’s Been Here?’ program. Hike trails to find wildlife living at Inlet Pond County Park in the wintertime. Hot chocolate and cookies provided. Donation: $3, members; nonmembers, $5. 631-477-3988.

BOOK SIGNING- Long Island Wine & Food Cookbook Signing takes place today from 1pm – 3pm.
