Murdoch and his wife, Wendi, entertained Hamptonites Billy
and Katie Lee Joel on their yacht, "Rosehearty," in St. Barth's
last week. Ron Perelman also keeps yacht, "Ultima III" in St. Barth's.

Latham of Shelter Island will give friends one last look
at his New York loft installation on Thursday, April 19, before
it is permanently dissembled.

Hamptonite Kim Cattral
and designer DeJuan Stroud were among those to
support East Hampton interior designers Tony Ingrao
and Randy Kemper, when they were honored at the
10th Anniversary of Flowers & Design, the Horticultural Society
of New York's fundraiser, at Guastavino's on Tuesday, April 17.

Architect and interior designer
Campion Platt, whose Southampton clients include
Anne Hearst and Jay McInerney as well as Pink Floyd's Roger Waters,
launched his new METRO CLOTH line during a party hosted by designer
Nicole Miller. Platt's new textile collection may end up in the
homes of his other famous clients, Conan O'Brien, Russell Simmons
and Meg Ryan.

On Saturday, May 5, Dancewaves
Kids' Company will present a Master Dance Class and Workshop, open
to dancers and those interested in dance ages 12 and up at the Center
for Well-Being. At the workshop, Kids Company director Diane
Jacobowitz and Jennifer Way-Rawe, a premiere
dancer with Twyla Tharp's early company, will present a Master Class
based on choreography from Tharp's early classic work, The Fugue
(1970).

George Kalinsky,
the official Madison Square Garden photographer for the past 40
years, is going to be inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall
of Fame and Museum on April 29 in Commack. One of Kalinsky's most
famous photographs, a shot of the late Pope John Paul II holding
a little girl on his lap while visiting Madison Square Garden, was
a permanent fixture on the desk of the late pontiff and has received
wide critical acclaim.

On Friday, April 27, the Bay
Street Theatre will host Stages' production of The Wind in the Willows,
based on the television version written and produced by Helene's
late father forty years ago. The 44-member cast includes Raphael
Odell Shapiro as Mr. Toad and Sarah Moliski as Mole. About
one fourth of the cast are teenagers, and the rest are twelve and
under.

Southampton's own Antony
Todd has recently opened a new outpost for his beautiful
furniture on East 11th Street in New York City, near Shelter Island
resident Jonathan Adler's brand new SoHo store.

On Sunday, April 29, Dan's
Papers writer Christian McLean will read from his
book, Duckhampton, at The Dairy in Central Park. Duckhampton tells
the tale of a lost duckling who makes his way from the Central Park
to the exclusive resort of Duckhampton for the summer. Mr. McLean
will be available to sign copies of his book, which can be purchased
at the Dairy Visitor Center & Gift Shop.

On May 3, noted author and
speaker Alfie Kohn will appear at Ross School's
Center for Well-Being in East Hampton. Kohn, who writes and speaks
widely on human behavior, education, and parenting, has authored
eleven books and scores of articles, and lectures nationally at
educational conferences and universities as well as to parent groups
and corporations.

resident Frances Hayward will host a party with
the Humane Society of the United States to honoring pro bono litigation
on behalf of animals in need at the Torch Club on Thursday, April
19 in New York City.
