Enjoy Hamptons Restaurant Week 2007It’s that time of year for epicures, gourmets, foodies and bargain hunters to rejoice! The Fifth Annual “Hamptons Restaurant Week,” is scheduled for Sunday, March 25 through Sunday, April 1. Don’t let the name fool you – Hamptons Restaurant Week is no longer just for restaurants on the South Fork. The participant roster also boasts wineries, lodging and retail outlets throughout the East End. During this weeklong promotion, participating restaurants will offer a three-course prix fixe for $21.95 all night, except Saturday, when it will only be offered until 7 p.m. Each restaurant offers their own unique menu selections. For foodies on the run, Claws on Wheels in East Hampton will offer a $21.95 prix fixe available in their takeout shop. An important component of this regional campaign is encouraging diners to try Long Island wines. Select restaurants will offer bottles of local wines for $21.95 to accompany the prix fixe. Vineyards on the East End will offer a discount on the restaurant week wines bought in their tasting rooms as well. Participating vineyards include: Palmer Vineyards in Aquebogue, Raphael Winery in Peconic, and Wölffer Estate Vineyards in Sagaponack. In addition to discounted food and wine, bargain hunters can also get a deal on a good night’s sleep. A selection of East End lodging properties will offer special rates during Hamptons Restaurant Week. They include: A Victorian on the Bay B&B in Eastport; Gurney’s Inn and Montauk Manor in Montauk; The Baker House 1650, Dune Resorts, The Huntting Inn and Mill House Inn in East Hampton; Southampton Inn in Southampton; and Wainscott Inn in Wainscott. Southampton Inn will also bid farewell to Hamptons Restaurant Week on Sunday, April 1 with a special $21.95 brunch.
