ART EXHIBITION- Fridays-Sundays, May 4-20, 2-5 p.m.: Exhibition of works in fabric by Sylvia Newman on view at Janet T. Swanson Gallery in Old Point School House, Orient. Hosted by Oysterponds Historical Society. Ms. Newman created her first quilt in 2004, following an exhibition of antique quilts by OHS. ART EXHIBITION- The East End Arts Council and the Town of Riverhead announce a new exhibit featuring artist MaryJane Wojciechowski at the Riverhead Town Hall exhibition space, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead through June 9. Ms. Wojciechowski says the works on display were created with a variety of mediums and encompass a 15 year period of growth as an artist. 631-727-0900.

COMING UP

STREET PAINTING FESTIVAL, MAY 27- 11th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival, presented by the East End Arts Council, will be held on Sunday, May 27th from 12-5, (rain date May 31). The Community Mosaic is a FREE, day-long celebration of the arts, held on the grounds of the Arts Council, on Main Street, and along the Peconic Riverfront. RELAY FOR LIFE GOLF TOURNAMENT, JUNE 1- The Riverhead Relay for Life will hold its third annual golf tournament on Friday, June 1, at the Rock Hill Golf and Country Club in Manorville, NY. A registration fee of $135.00 per golfer includes a 12:00 p.m. barbecue luncheon, a cart, unlimited range balls, and an open bar and dinner. There will be a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start and there will be trophies, prizes, gifts, raffles, and entertainment. Come and join our tradition of fine golf and great fun. Non golfers are welcome to join us for drinks and dinner at 6:30 p.m. for $50.00 per person. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
