A Very Tasteful Gathering
“Forty restaurants! 20 wineries! One night!”
That cheer went this morning up as a who’s who of East End chefs joined the one and only Dan Rattiner at Duck Walk Vineyards amid a flurry of excitement for the inaugural Dan’s Taste of Two Forks event, hosted by Chef Marcus Samuelson.
Overlooking the lush vineyard, chefs from the North and South Forks of Long Island—including Joseph Realmuto of Nick and Toni’s, Sarabeth Levine of Sarabeth’s, Kevin Penner of The Grill on Pantigo, Scrimshaw’s Rosa Ross, Yusi Gurrera of Citarella (the exclusive food retailer of Dan’s Taste of Two Forks) and more— talked about eagerly anticipating the July 16 event at Sayre Park in Bridgehampton, where they will serve tastings of both classic favorites and never-before-served creations. Fluke ceviche, brisket sliders, hand-rolled dumplings and more are on the way, along with plenty of pours from Long Island wineries. Edward Lovaas, winemaker at Duck Walk and Pindar Vineyards, was on-hand to talk up the 2010 Rosé and other “wines that will surprise people” at the culinary event of the summer. We can’t wait—and we bet you can’t, either. Get your tickets now!
