Mitt Romney Heading to the Hamptons
Hurricane Irene couldn’t keep Mitt Romney out of the Hamptons—at least not permanently. The severe weather wiped out a fundraising weekend for the Republican presidential hopeful, but that paved the way for Romney to spend Labor Day Weekend in the Hamptons.
According to the New York Post, a $2500 per head fundraiser at the East Hampton home of Emil Henry Jr.—the former United States Assistant Treasury Secretary—will be held on Saturday, where rumored guests will include NY Jets owner Woody Johnson. On Sunday, Romney will head to hedge fund billionaire John Paulson’s Southampton estate for yet another event to add to the $18 million he has raised already—more than any other GOP hopeful.
No word on where Romney will head on Labor Day itself, but we’ll let you know if we see him at the beach.
