A Toast to “The Rum Diary”

There have been plenty of films worth toasting at the Hamptons International Film Festival so far, but The Rum Diary is making a case to be at the top of that list. Not only because of Johnny Depp, but because of the rum. Huh, maybe it’s mostly because of the rum. In either case, to the film, its star and its inspiration (here’s to you, Hunter S. Thompson), we food-and-drink film fanatics raise a rum and Coke…no, a Hurricane…um, make that a mojito…or a rum punch…to The Rum Diary.
