Rufus Wainwright at Bay Street Theater

Rufus Wainwright is an acclaimed songwriter and musical performer, but when he takes the stage in Sag Harbor on Sunday, his new movie will be in the spotlight. After his mother recently died from cancer, Wainwright and his family began working with documentarian Lian Lunson on the film Kate McGarrigle: I Am a Diamond. It’s still a work in progress, but Wainwright will discuss the documentary—and show clips—as well as share tales about his family in what should be one of the most moving events of this year’s Hamptons International Film Festival.
