The Hamptons were well represented in L.A. on Sunday night as Water Mill homeowner Jennifer Lopez made the American Music Awards her own, strutting her stuff and earning a standing ovation from the A-list crowd in a performance that overshadowed everything on an evening that included Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Mary J Blige and more music royalty.

It seemed as if Jenny from the Block might turn in a demure act as she sang her new song “Papi,” but the moment she kicked into “On the Floor” and started peeling away layers of clothing, nobody else—not even Artist of the Year Taylor Swift—had a shot of being remembered this night. Taking the concept of product placement to a new level, Lopez tooled around the stage in a FIAT 500 during her number, but it was her is-there-anything-there bodysuit and grinding with rapper Pitbull that had motors running.

Sure, J-Lo later joined will.i.am and Mick Jagger (via video) for the premiere performance of “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever),” but be honest—do you even remember that? Yeah, us neither. But don’t forget to tell us if you see that FIAT riding around the Hamptons!
