Overheard in the Hamptons: The 1% Gets Out

Occupy the Hamptons, Occupy Wall Street and the rest of the Occupy movement clearly inspired—well, sort of—some trick-or-treaters on the East End.

“We are the 1%! Is anyone handing out money?”—A group of four high school students dressed in suits and ties and accessorized with cash, out filling their loot bags on Halloween night

The boys were accompanied by a fifth reveler dressed decidedly differently, adorned with a sign reading “HOMELESS: PLEASE GIVE CANDY.” At least the kid said please.
