Shakespeare: In the Company of Players

The Immortal Bard like you’ve never seen him before. A unique mixture of scenes, soliloquies and snippets honoring and illustrating the beautiful language, timeless truth, and spirit of Shakespeare’s comedies and tragedies—with a few high-spirited romps through the canon thrown in, and a peek into the creative process of a small troupe of classical actors. Comprised of such segments as What Think You of Falling In Love; Dancing Measures/If Music Be The Food of Love and The Real Shakespearean Housewives. Admission is $18 ($12 with student ID), and includes a wine-and-cheese reception with local wine from Comtesse Thérèse Vineyards.
Sixth Annual East End Black Film Festival
Saturday, November 5, 12:30 p.m. Parrish Art Museum, 25 Jobs Lane, Southampton
The sixth annual East End Black Film Festival offers a daylong run of films at the Parrish Art Museum. The lineup includes Whitewash, Champagne, Trouble in the Water, DNR, Hairpiece, Hallelujah, the 1975 classic Cooley High and the closing film, The Night Catches Us.
